Church on Wheels

Church on Wheels.

Reaching the remote villages of the Volyn region is often difficult. To overcome this problem, Ukrainian Ministry has received two donated trailer units that are used to evangelize to the people in the villages and towns.

When the vehicle arrives in a village many people come to ask what is going on. We have a wonderful opportunity to invite people to come to the evening meetings. During the day we play Christian music, distribute Christian literature and talk to people who just come to talk.

We start a children program at 4 p. m. Children hear Bible stories, learn Bible verses, sing Christian songs and play different kinds of games.

In the evening, the general program for adults begins. The general program starts with Christian singing, meditations and preaching on the Bible. This is followed with talk on the subjects or topics that are interesting and exciting for them. We invite Christian bands or groups and individual singers, preachers and theologians to take part in these programs to make the meetings more interesting and to offer variety.

Reaching Out.

The trailers are equipped with roll down movie screens. After the program we show Christian films that motivate every person to think about their lives and seek spiritual freedom. Each meeting has a certain topic so those who come can think of their personal lives and their status in front of God. We talk about the sinful nature of a man and a woman, about occultism, about fights in families, about drinking alcohol and using drugs, and share real Christianity and freedom through Jesus Christ.

Sometimes the citizens of the countryside receive us with joy, come to the meetings and even bring friends. Sometimes they even bring some milk or apples for us "to sing better" as they say. Every meeting attracts about 60 people (sometimes more). We have received some hostile receptions as the village people are led by Orthodox priests, demanding that we leave.

There is a need for funds to purchase gas and maintain the vehicles as well as food for those involved with the program and prizes for children who come.
